What a consistent team. Get merrcied on week by some group of scrubs, mercy the perviously undefeated league leaders the next. With a season record of 4-5 (winning % of .444), it looks like we may have the Tigers smoked. All credit for our recent better play should go to Ed. We are 3-1 since he found us a new bar to frequent after the games.

Some guy named Dave Dumbbrowki....Dumbbroadski......Dumb#@$%ski called and is looking for me. Think I should return his call?
This week marks the half way point of the season. We have a record of 1-4 for a winning percentage of .200. The Tigers are 11-27 for a winning percentage of .289. Our goal for Grewe Crewe 2002 is to finish with a better winning percentage. I figure we need 3 more wins! 4 would almost clinch it.

Wheewww! A victory, finally. Now I know how the Tigers feel every spring. Speaking of the Tigers, as of Sunday night, we were only 2 games behind them in the win column! That may have been the coldest game I have ever played. A balmy 37 degrees pregame. Carl's take on the game is that our team consists of 4 smart guys and 11 idiots. Look at the game 3 summary to see who the 11 idiots are. And to reward the 11 idiots that showed up for the game, Julie (through my wallet) paid her debt to society and purchased the first couple of pitchers after the game.
Of the 5 Grewe brothers who made it to the game, 3 of them were suffering from the Grandpa Grewe drip!

Well, we are off and crawling. This year, our goal is to have a better start than the Tigers. At 0-1, we have to win one of our next 5 games. Our other goal is to purchase new shirts for 2002. I will be collecting $20 from each Grewe Crewe member to cover the costs of the new shirts. Michael has assurred me that he knows some shady character that can get us something decent for that price.
Also, I would like to thank Andy for all the work that he did for the new web page layout. Look around and let us know how y'all like it.

Another season is quickly approaching. The web site is now new and improved, too bad we can't say the same thing about our team! However, we are looking for big things this year from our new southern import (Kerry), and maybe some help from the north (Gary Johnson). Andy has pledged to send more runners around third base this year, so we should be in the top half of the standings again. Looks like we are going to need the standard $4 per game from the players - last year's slush funds got consumed at the bar after the last game.

New year, new season, same everything else. I promise to have the career stats updated soon. And, now that we are finally moved and settled in, I will put a little more time into this web site.

Season starts today. Rules are the same as last season, 6 home run limit, etc. This year, there is no $25 up front charge. Only cost this season is the usual $4/game. Hats are going on order, and we have a team bat (if we can get it away from Ed.) Bat is a 28 oz. Easton Connexion.
I updated the career stats and the schedule for 2000. Looking at the final stats for 1999, I am still amazed that we ended up in 2nd place. Nowhere to go but up for the team batting average in 2000.

Somebody bring a camera to the next game. It's about time we had some new action shots.
Is anybody interested in playing in the fall league? The league would start in the middle of July and run until the beginning of October. I have some seed money left over from the pullovers if there is interest in playing. I will take a vote at an upcoming game.
Don & Irene now have an e-mail address. What year is this anyway?

Games start this Sunday (4/11/99). Please be at the diamond by 6:30 pm for a pregame prep talk by the coach.
I have come up with a new rule for this season. Whoever makes the last out of the game gets to collect the money the next week!
Pullovers should arrive by the second game of the season. The price for the "Groupies" has be adjusted to $39 + tax. I will probably start collecting this money on Sunday.
Its official. We are registered for 7:10 Sunday evenings!!!!
Has everybody been doing their pushups???? The season starts April 11th. This years goal is to win the first game of the season! Spring training will be held at Mom's on Easter as usual. One of these years it will actually be nice enough to practice.
Cost this year is $25 up front and then the same $4/game as last year. I need the up front money by March 10th. If possible, please put it in the mail to me. Address is 110 N. Matteson Capac, Mi. 48014
Our season is 12 games at 7:10 pm Sunday evenings. Season runs till the middle of July.
Our league will have a homerun limit this year. Each team will be limited to 6/game. Each home run after 6 is an out. I plan to use up half of those. Actually, I think this rule will help us. I don't think we have ever used that many in a game, but several teams have hit twice that against us. (Upon further review, the most we have ever hit is 5 in a game.)
Other rule changes: All homeruns must be run out. This rule was changed last fall season, but has been reinstated. Also, there will be no courtesy runners allowed this year.
